Piece by piece:Native Ohio Flora &Fauna
Inspired by Winold Reiss’s mosaic in the Rotunda, visitors collaged colorful paper onto these large scale designs of Ohio flora and faun. This project is part of the Aspiring Artists series through the Cincinnati Museum Center(CMC). This specific workshop took place in the KidSPACE inside The Children’s Museum on the CMC’s annual 1040’s Day. There were 3200+ visitors of all ages who came to The Children’s Museum that day. We had many people come into the KidSPACE and add their touch to these pieces. Although there is more to be layered on, these works will be in the KidSPACE for future visitors to work on. I met this sweet family! Their daughter loves art and wants to be an artist when she grows up. They hung out for hours and help to layer this piece and create individual artwork as well!
